My struggles with weight began in childhood, but everything changed at 50 when my back suddenly went out. My core was so weak I couldn’t sit for any length of time. Standing or lying down were my only options. I couldn’t work, clean my home, or even hold my 4-month-old grandson. I felt powerless, ashamed, and heartbroken over how far my health had declined.

That moment became my wake-up call. I had a choice: stay the same or make a change. I chose transformation — but true healing didn’t begin until I surrendered my struggle to Jesus.

Through this Christ-centered journey, I uncovered years of insulin resistance, metabolic challenges, emotional eating patterns, addictive food habits, and a deep love for sugary treats. I’ve released 70 pounds and, by God’s grace, I continue to live the habits that help me maintain my health and energy today.

Now, I help other women over 50 do the same — without extremes, shame, or starting over every Monday.
